Changed

Change. It’s happening right under my nose in my back yard, along with the season, and I almost missed it. I felt a nudge to come closer while watching a monarch flit around this plant—and this hope-filled surprise caught my eye! So far, I’ve count 7 of these beauties.

One can undergo complete metamorphosis, but it’s not possible without going through the process. And sometimes the process is painful, difficult, slow and exhausting. New beginnings, transformation, change, growth…then new creations emerge. What amazing symbolism to the rebirth of Christ through his resurrection.

GOD WILL turn these caterpillars into monarch butterflies, so why do we often allow seeds of doubt to creep in and steal our hope that meaningful, spiritual change and growth is always possible with Him? Always. Because His Word says so, He keeps His promises and He does not change.  He still performs miracles, often right under our nose.

The Bible tells us in Christ we are new creations as the Spirit dwells within us.

2 Corinthians 5:17 reads, “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, the new creation has come: The old has gone, the new is here!”

The temporal things our God has gifted us with to enjoy as we walk this earth can teach us amazing eternal lessons. Take some time to draw a little closer to Him, be alert and listen for His nudge, and don’t miss the hopeful promises of God in every season you walk through.

“Put off your old self, which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.”  Ephesians 4: 22-24

This song is a beautiful reminder. LOOK AND LISTEN BECAUSE GOD IS REAL!
