In His Eye

What lies in the eye of a storm? In the center of the churning high powered winds and blasting rains of a hurricane lies a place of peace and calm.
-THE EYE OF THE STORM-

How do we learn to stay in the eye and experience peace when surrounding circumstances may seem hopeless?
Only God can be our eye through life’s storms. Only God can bring the peace we long for.
If we would trade the wasted effort spent in worry for time “better-spent” in honest prayer, oh how our storms would diminish. Imagine our category 5 hurricane being no more than a passing shower! It’s possible when our eyes stay fixed on God’s power and we surrender to His plan. Matthew 19:26 reminds us that with God, ANYTHING is possible. We should take him at his Word. Literally.
Psalm 107:28-30 reads
“Then they cried out to the Lord in their trouble, and he brought them out of their distress. He stilled the storm to a murmur, and the waves of the sea were hushed. They rejoiced when the waves grew quiet. Then he guided them to the harbor they longed for.”

So, let us find rest knowing the storm lies in His hands, and no matter the size of your boat or the severity of the storm, you, too, can land safely in His harbor.
